Philadelphia Resolution Supporting National Infrastructure Bank Cites American Historical Precedents

The City Council of Philadelphia has now adopted a resolution calling on the US Congress and the President to adopt HR 6422 and create a National Infrastructure Bank.

Resolution 210011, adopted by the full city council on February 4, 2021 points out the crisis of infrastructure, and also the " ..historic precedents for the National Infrastructure Bank ...in Philadelphia, including the First and Second Banks of the United States, which still reside in Independence National Historic Park.... Lincoln’s National Banking program turned Philadelphia into the 'Workshop of the World' , and Franklin Roosevelt’s Reconstruction Finance Corporation, his infrastructure bank, helped end the Great Depression and win WWII.
