The County Treasurer holds a key position of public trust in the financial affairs of the local
government. Acting as the bank for the County, school districts, fire districts, special
purpose districts, and other local government units, the Treasurer's Office receipts
disburses, invests, and accounts for each of them these entities. Also, the Treasurer is
charged with collecting various taxes that benefit a wide range of governmental functions.

Acquired the Mukilteo Lighthouse from the U.S. Coast Guard, doubled the size of the city through annexation, transition the fire department from allvolunteer to all full time including constructing and equipping two new fire stations, transition the police department from four officers to twenty commissioned officers and acquired the Washington accreditation for the department.
